Basketball in the house

Ben has been bringing basketballs in the house lately and trying to dribble them. He actually knows the difference between the sports and calls it his "beekaball". Here's a little video of him playing in the kitchen.

New Faucet

Our kitchen faucet broke this week, so today we went to Lowe's and picked out a new one. Kristina picked it out and I installed it. It went quick and there were no leaks, so it was a success.

Flying Kites

After a full week, we relaxed a little on Saturday, which included some kite flying at the park. Bradley has a Spiderman kite and Kylie has a My Little Pony kite. They both had fun, and Ben spent his time pointing at the kites and saying "sky".Ben, Kylie, and her Pony kite.Bradley concentrating on his kite.

The Zoo

We had nice weather Friday, so we decided to go to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. It was really crowded, but we still saw everything we wanted. We also stopped at the "This is The Place" monument since it is right across the street from the zoo. After the kids were sufficiently worn out, we ended the night with dinner at Applebee's. It was a fun end to Spring Break.Ben pointing out the black bear.Kristina and the kids on the "Zoofari" train ride. Checking out the elephants.

Dinosaur Museum

The kids have been on Spring Break this week, so we decided to take some day trips. Kristina took the kids to Jumpin Jacks (inflatable play area) in the morning, and in the afternoon, we all went to the Museum of Ancient Life. We saw lots of cool dinosaur bones and they had some fun activities for kids.
Here's Kylie playing in the water and sand.
Bradley making an island for some dinosaurs.
Ben trying to find the next mess...All three sitting at the feet of T-Rex.

April Card Group

I am going to try my hand at posting today, since Dan is usually the one to do it. Last night I hosted our card group at my house. There are eight of us that get together once a month and exchange cards based on a certain theme. This month was Mother's Day/Father's Day cards. We each bring 8 of the same card and exchange them. Mostly we just talk and eat dessert! It is really fun for me to have a hobby and get together with my girlfriends.

This is the card that I made this month.

These are all the cards made by members of the group.

Road Trip

Saturday we drove up to Idaho Falls to visit Amy, Trent, and the kids for JT's blessing. We decided to visit a couple temples along the way and also drove through the BYU-Idaho campus. We got some great pictures and had a blast. We had a nice dinner with Amy and Trent on Saturday and then they came over to the hotel to swim with us.

We took a detour through Logan to see the temple, it was really beautiful and the kids liked the fountain.

Sorry the picture has a little glare, but here's Amy's family right after the blessing.
Kristina and JT relaxing at the lunch afterward.

Last stop on the tour, the Rexburg temple is quite a site on top of the hill.

The Biggest Loser

The office started a competition in February to see who could lose the greatest percent of weight and body fat. The competition ended Monday and I was the winner in both categories, which earned me a $400 bonus. Over the 6 weeks I lost 16.4 pounds and 5.1% body fat. Here's the picture of me receiving the check.

Spring Soccer

Spanish Fork City decided to offer Spring Soccer this year, which would be great if Spring was actually warm. Bradley loves getting out and running around, so I guess it's worth it. I caught him in this action pose going for a break away.

Pajama Day

Kylie had Pajama Day at Preschool, so she was very excited to wear her princess pjs. She learned about Goldilocks and had pancakes for her snack.

Ben, on the other hand, had a rough day. He woke up with a burst ear drum, so we went to the doctor and got antibiotics for a double ear infection. He looked good in this picture though, thanks to some motrin and a sucker.

Kylie's Birthday

We celebrated Kylie's birthday on Monday the 31st since I didn't get back until late Sunday night. She invited her two friends from preschool, Alex and Ela, and we went to see "Horton Hears a Who" at the local theater. Later that evening a couple of her aunts and uncles came over for cake and ice cream.

Kylie got the My Little Pony Teapot Palace to add to her pony collection. The pony village is taking over the better part of her room at this point, but she loves little things.

Here is uncle Matt carrying all the kids, they have a lot of fun with him.

Kristina and Kylie made a Strawberry Shortcake cake. Normally we buy the $25 cake from the grocery store, but we decided to buy the little kit for the top and make the cake at home. It was fun for Kylie to be part of cake-making process.

New Zealand

As many of you know, I was called to go to New Zealand last week. They let me know on Friday that I would be leaving Sunday, so we were all surprised. I spent most of the week in the client's office training them on our software, but I was able to see some of the sites on Saturday. I took a ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island (about 10 miles off coast) and then rented a scooter to explore the island. All of the pictures are posted on the Snapfish site, but I had to post this one where I look really cool...anyway, it was a cool experience and I am glad to be back in one piece.

Easter

The kids got all dressed up in their new easter clothes and were excited to get their picture taken. I think Ben was getting ready to jump right after the picture. We'll try to keep the posts coming so you can all see how we're doing more often.
